Frontier Soups

Once a week we roast a locally raised pastured chicken. Depending on the size, it can provide a few meals for our family (including being saved for homemade broth). As you can imagine, we like finding new ways to use the meat so that we don’t get burned out eating the same thing every week. The kids were thrilled when Frontier Soups sent us a sample assortment from their Homemade In Minutes line. Finally, something new to do with leftover chicken!

Variety of Homemade in Minutes Frontier Soups

Despite being at home all day, there are times I struggle to get dinner on the table at a decent-ish time. I’m not sitting on the couch eating bonbons all day. I’m playing with/teaching the kids, cleaning, changing diapers, cooking other daily meals, laundry, more diapers, and so on. Sometimes (okay, often!) I get caught up in our day & forget about dinner. Depending on what’s in the fridge, we might resort to takeout or delivery. Frontier Soups Homemade in Minutes mixes include all-natural ingredients with no added salt, preservatives, or MSG and cook in 30-45 minutes. All corn and rice ingredients in every mix are certified non-GMO. Many of the Frontier Soups mixes are certified gluten-free by the Celiac Sprue Association. Roughly the same amount of time for a cheaper and healthier meal? Sold.

Little Schoolhouse Alphabet Soup

Of the variety that was sent in my Moms Meet Blogger kit (South of the Border Tortilla Soup Mix, Connecticut Cottage Chicken Noodle Soup Mix, Florida Sunshine Red Pepper Corn Chowder Soup Mix, West Coast Kale and Quinoa Vegetable Soup Mix, Mississippi Delta Tomato Basil Soup Mix, and Little Schoolhouse Alphabet Soup Mix), we all agreed that the Little Schoolhouse Alphabet Soup was the best first choice for our homeschooling family.

Most of the soups call for precooked chicken & chicken broth, but you can customize to your liking or what you have on hand. There were a couple stray potatoes left with our chicken that got diced up and added to the pot as well as one lone piece of bacon (we add bacon to everything we can!). Beef or pork would have worked just as well in place of the chicken. I think ground meat would even work or you could skip the meat all together! I’m happy to have a few Frontier Soups in my pantry to choose from in a pinch. They have superior ingredients to conventional boxed meals and taste far better too.
